Existential Psychotherapy

Existential Psychotherapy- is the use of a positive approach that applauds human capacities while simultaneously maintaining a good perception of the human being, human spirit and mind.
Theoretical Concepts- focuses on the treatment process so that the issues that people face there is a way to deal with the problems that needs to be address and help find change so that the person can live a for meaning and fulfillment life style.
Concerns of the Human Condition: there are four ultimate concerns of the human condition are typically from a person having emotional difficulties.
Inevitability of Death: Has a person grow they tend to see that no matter how special. Smart, or gifted you are death is out for everyone.
Isolation: We may have many friends, and family but no one can understand us the way that we do like or feelings, and thoughts.
Meaninglessness: The only thing that is certain within our life’s are life and death. But the lack of mean can led us to hopelessness, discouragement, and a sense of emptiness. We all ask that magical question what’s the meaning of life.
Freedom and responsibility: you are giving choices of different lifestyle to live, experiences, and acquisitions. We have the freedom to choose and create the lifestyle we want for ourselves with the time that we have her on earth.
The Process of Treatment:
Existential therapy is not a problem or a crisis focused treatment but is a relationship builder and there is almost no time limit or something that is rushed. This treatment has no clear stages or transitions.
But the process has the therapist development and building a relationship with the client, finding understanding within their world.
The middle phase of treatment allows the client to use their information they shard and find meaning, purpose and value.
Than treatment normally comes to and end when the person can implement their awareness and move on an establish meaning within their own lives. But it’s important for the client to also remember that they cannot eliminate anxiety but build on ways to live better.
Intervention Strategies: there are no techniques but other interventions are used like, Symbolic growth experience which is growth you gain form all your experiences.
